Air Plant Care

Watering:

* We have very dry weather so your Air plant will need to be water once a week.

1. Soak (immersing) your Air plant in spring or distilled water for 20-30 min.

2. Dry upside down on a towel, be careful not to harm the center of your plant or it may die.

*These Air plants get all of the water and nutrients they need through their specialized leaves (no soil needed). Air plants use their roots only for attaching themselves to rocks, trees, shrubs, and the ground. Native to the southern United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America.

Lighting:

*Air plants love bright indirect light. Direct sunlight will dry out your plant. Be sure to keep it away from frosty windows during the cold season, 45 degrees is as low as they can handle.

Your Air plants will flower and grow babies after time, remove babies once they have grown 3/4 the size of the parent plant. You can fertilize monthly in spring and summer using a low-nitrogen liquid fertilizer mixed at only one-quarter strength to help with the flowering process.
